Hey! If you landed here, you’re probably an SRM student trying to figure out your GPA, CGPA, or panicking about an arrear. This site was built exactly for that.

Who Made This?

My name is Shah Noor. I’m a developer, not an SRM student and I’ll be upfront about that.

I came across SRM students asking the same questions everywhere (Reddit, Quora, student forums) “how do I calculate my GPA?”, “will this arrear destroy my CGPA?”, “what do I need to score to hit 8.0?” The tools available online were either generic, outdated, or made you manually enter credit values yourself. That felt like a solvable problem. So I solved it.

I spent time going through SRM IST’s official curriculum documents, academic regulations, and grading structure for the 2021 regulations across multiple campuses to make sure the data in these tools is actually right.

Free tools, all built specifically for SRM IST students:

SRM GPA Calculator Calculates your semester GPA using the official SRM IST grading scale. Select your regulation, branch, and semester. Subjects and credits load automatically. Just pick your grades and you’re done.

SRM CGPA Calculator Enter your semester-wise GPA and credits. The tool applies the official SRM weighted formula: CGPA = Σ(Semester GPA × Semester Credits) ÷ Σ(Total Credits) and gives you your cumulative average instantly.

Arrear Simulator Got an F? This tool shows you exactly how much your CGPA drops, and what happens when you clear it with different grades. Useful for planning your comeback before the supplementary exam.

Why These Tools Are Accurate

I pulled subject names and credit values directly from SRM IST’s official B.Tech curriculum documents for the 2021 (R21) regulations.

Both the GPA and CGPA formulas used here match SRM IST’s official academic regulations exactly:

GPA = Σ (Grade Points × Credits) ÷ Σ (Total Credits)
CGPA = Σ (Semester GPA × Semester Credits) ÷ Σ (Total Credits)

If something looks wrong, a subject name, a credit value, anything, use the contact form. I check it regularly and fix errors fast.
